Of Friendship, Of Love

Posted on

You can’t keep these things the same
Feeling fades, friendship ends
and when the sun sets, you find yourself alone and content

maybe someone sits near you and hug you tight,
sharing your sorrow and joy
maybe none will to be your companion,
keeping you warm and alone

You long the sweet memories of the crusade you’ve two used to boast,
creating flowers and a happy better world
you two promised many things approached
but distance fired the chemistry,
killing your pure raw honesty

People walked away, maybe feeling not okay
You cried endlessly, but figured that shits rather quickly
—Age is not all about maturity, but aging at least spares you a serendipity
—Things could end beautifully, but many times the final is ugly

You can’t keep these things the same
Feeling fades, friendship ends
and when the sun sets, you find yourself alone and content
